Mark Beckwith took the video footage, and describes the scene:
"This video was taken on September 11, 2004 at Welland, Ontario
Canada, and the occasion was a Battle of Britain remembrance event.
Mr. Ed Russell owns the Spitfire and a Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 and
is in the process of establishing a small warbird museum of flying
historical aircraft. He also owns a Harvard and a soon to be
airworthy Hawker Hurricane.
The Lancaster belongs to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
and was flown from its home in Hamilton, Ontario especially for the
fly-by. The Spitfire is a Mk.IX late production, serial MK912 which
was restored last year at Duxford.
The video was shot with a Canon Digital camcorder, hand held and
on almost maximum optical zoom, hence the shake!"
